Wat Sri Chum is a charming temple nestled in the heart of the city of Lampang. Despite its relatively small size, it is a place of great interest and beauty. The entrance to the temple complex is marked by a series of fruit stalls, neatly arranged and impeccably clean. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by the delicate wooden work of the main monastery. The monastery, featuring tiered roofs in the Myanmar style, was once damaged by fire but has since been beautifully restored. The wooden floor lends a cool ambience to the interior. To the left of the monastery stands the main pagoda, another highlight of the complex.

The temple is a well-known Burmese landmark in the city center. It is surrounded by a bustling Muslim wet market where visitors can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. Among the market's popular offerings are banana pancakes, lovingly prepared by two local Muslim women. This harmonious coexistence of two religions in close proximity is a testament to the city's cultural diversity and tolerance.
