In the heart of Phuket town, just off the main road, lies a large golden reclining Buddha. This magnificent statue is a sight to behold, its golden hue shimmering in the sunlight. The place is not usually crowded, making it a peaceful spot for a quick visit. The grounds, just off the 402, are well-maintained and worth a visit. The reclining Buddha is in good condition, as are many of the buildings and temples on the grounds. Visitors are reminded to cover their shoulders and legs when visiting these sacred structures. The place also features shop counters selling thousands of gold Buddha’s and amulets, and there is even a coffee shop on the premises.

Despite this, the place can be extremely peaceful and calm. The 25m reclining Buddha, built on the roof of one of the temple buildings at Sri Sunthorn temple, is a sight to behold. The temple is located just south of Thalang in the center of Phuket island. It's right by the main road through Phuket from town to the airport, but it's hidden behind some trees and can be hard to spot from the road. Despite its proximity to the main road, the place is usually quiet, with hardly ever more than a few visitors. This makes it a blissful retreat for those seeking a moment of tranquility amidst their travels.
