About Wat Suwan Khiri
The Golden Rock and Shwedagon Pagoda are two of the most iconic landmarks in Myanmar, and they have been beautifully replicated in a location near the Thai-Myanmar border. This place is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Myanmar, with miniature versions of the Golden Rock and Shwedagon Pagoda that are about 20% of the original size. Despite their smaller scale, these replicas are still quite large and offer a rewarding experience for those who come to pay their respects. It is highly recommended for those who are visiting Ranong or Chumphon and have access to a vehicle to make a trip to this place. This Thai temple, with its unique Burmese architecture, is a sight to behold. If you're visiting Ranong, this temple is conveniently located near Chumphon. It's a great place to stop by for a meal of Salapao Thap Saka and to admire the Burmese-style temple in Thailand. Although it's not as large as the original in Myanmar, it's still a beautiful representation of the Shwedagon Pagoda.
This stunning temple in the north of Ranong is truly a sight to behold. The architecture is a harmonious blend of Thai, Chinese, and Burmese styles, which undoubtedly adds to its unique charm and appeal. Entry is free, but visitors are welcome to make donations. For instance, you can hang a banknote on the "money tree" and wish for prosperity and financial success for yourself and your family. Alternatively, you can write your wish on a bell and hang it on the top floor, as close to the sky as possible. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views. If you're in Ranong, it's worth spending an hour on the road to visit this place.
The Shwedagon of Thailand is a beautiful temple that follows the art style of Myanmar. The replica pagoda is as beautiful as the real Shwedagon in Yangon, Myanmar. If you're visiting Ranong, in Kraburi or Kok Kord Kra, don't forget to stop by and visit Wat Pak Chan, or the Shwedagon of Thailand. It's a highly recommended place to visit.
